Obesity contributes to global warming: study

GENEVA (Reuters) – Obesity contributes to global warming, too.
Obese and overweight people require more fuel to transport them and the food they eat, and the problem will worsen as the population literally swells in size, a team at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine says.
This adds to food shortages and higher energy prices, the school’s researchers Phil Edwards and Ian Roberts wrote in the journal Lancet on Friday.
“We are all becoming heavier and it is a global responsibility,” Edwards said in a telephone interview. “Obesity is a key part of the big picture.”
At least 400 million adults worldwide are obese. The World Health Organization (WHO) projects by 2015, 2.3 billion adults will be overweight and more than 700 million will be obese.
In their model, the researchers pegged 40 percent of the global population as obese with a body mass index of near 30. Many nations are fast approaching or have surpassed this level, Edwards said.
The Clinton’s are fat food junkies so they are no good role models….

Everything is global warming now. Everything allegedly causes it. That is the effect of liberalism on our world. Chaos

Unless they are drinking the oil, I don’t think that should be one or our concerns right now.

McCain would most certainly help people lose weight. After all, his economics will create more starvation.

Well, after all the raised taxes on everything, to include food and gas, we will be unable to eat and have to walk everywhere….so I’d have to say Obama.

Obama or Al Gore, by starvation. only the poor skinny folks will die first!

What? Is some President going to create a Refrigerator Police to visit every house daily to make sure Americans aren’t snacking? Even if guns are outlawed, I’ll starve my dog so he’ll be REAL hungry whenever somebody comes a-knockin’. Better yet, I’ll keep a tub of trans fat and throw it at them when they try busting in. That’ll scare ‘em off.

McCain stays covered up (Thank God!) but looks obese to me. Obama look fit & slim & even got in trouble when he turned down a Philly steak sandwich. I admire is discipline. I think if Mccain is President people will eat more junk food cause it is a cheap way to feel fulfilled & he wants all the money for himself & his elite family & friends. So Obama wins in all areas!!!!

Since when is it a president job to be a weight loss coach? Besides if our food didn`t have all the artificial chemicals in it, perhaps people wouldn`t be fat either. If buildings weren`t put up where a recreation park could be, our kids would have a place to play. Anything Edwards says means about as much as those dog piles in my backyard that I`m going to clean up. The WHO works for the globalist, they allow Mercury in vaccines and industrial waste (aluminum fluoride) in our water among other things. Mars is going through Global warming too, it has no known life.

Obama. He will starve us out and if we all die liberals will feel better about the planet.
No, wait…Liberals will also be dead and won’t feel anything…
Save the planet? What a joke that is. The planet’s safe enough. It’s humanity that we need to worry about saving…

It’s only fair they should pay higher fares everywhere.
Also higher hospital care and nursing care to take into account all the extra effort involved in lifting, moving and caring for that extra fat.
