please help me, recently i’ve seen my fish has some tiny white spots, it’s like they’re powdered, fortunately not too infected for now.
i bought medicine and of course moved my rcs (shrimp) away since it contains copper. i plan on giving this treatment twice or once daily, everyday until the whole tank got better. btw, rcs are immune to this disease right?
i also planned on increasing the temperature of the tank till 30 – 32 C, is that okay? my fish are platies, zebra danios, and black neons. i hope that they’re all gonna be fine…
is this treatment method right? i’ve done research and decided to do what it said. also, should i change the water as well?
thanks sooo much for helping

It sounds like ick. Just keep using the medicine and it will be cleared up in no time!!!

There is less oxygen in warmer water, and therefore yes, the parasites will die off quicker in warmer water. Keep in mind, quicker does not mean immediate. 30 Celcius for those fish is alright, but you should just follow what it says on the box, whether to do it once daily, twice a day, or every other day. Just follow the instructions on the box, it usually tells you about frequent water changes, etc. Sorry about your fish, and good luck!

The white spots are ich. Use the treatment for it that you buy in the pet stores. Do what the bottle says to and your fish will be fine. Good luck!

Sounds like ich – keep up the treatments as is says to on the package, and keep the water warm enough. Hope your fish have full recoveries!
